What a day we had! However, nobody rains on our parade! Despite various weather conditions our Eel Parade was the longest ever and our arena acts performed regardless throughout the day. A big thank you to everyone who shrugged off the weather conditions and supported us in their thousands. Until next year ......
Well what a hoot our Cookery Theatre was this year! From the nutritionist Hala El Shafie, to Italian legend Aldo Zilli plus an appearance by Fanny Craddock! We hope everyone came away with a little more knowledge on how to cook as well as some happy memories of being entertained. Roll on 2020 when we will have a completely new line-up for you!
Once again we had some varied, eel related treats for you and our eateries did not let us down with their creativeness. Thanks to some of our restaurants, you won't have to wait a whole year to taste eel again, as some regularly feature eel dishes on their menus - well this is Ely!
Well done Shaun for an impressive throw of 14.8m this year. However, Simon still regiens champion with that fantastic throw of 17.7m back in 2013. You now have all year to practice to see if you can be named World Eel Throwing Champion 2020!
